Teranka, a former hostal reinvented, is all about art, craftsmanship and nature. Raw materials, lime plaster, handmade furniture: Formentera’s slow-life spirit, in an upmarket version.

The hotel is set slightly back from Migjorn beach, at km 10.7 of the La Mola road, between the pines and the dunes, near the village of Es Caló de Sant Agustí and Ses Platgetes beach. La Savina port is 11 km away.

The island’s best-known beach
This part of Migjorn, between the pines and the dunes, is one of the quietest on the island. Es Caló and its sea-facing restaurants are very close, and I recommend going at least once. You cannot help falling for Teranka, it is incredible.
It was a lovely discovery during a getaway in October 2024.

Mar, Tierra and Cielo
Mar, the main building, has 22 sea-view rooms. Tierra has 7 rooms around the pool lined with cacti and bougainvillea. Cielo brings together the suites, with kitchenette, private terrace and, for some, a rooftop.
The whole place blends contemporary design, local craftsmanship and artworks, with raw materials and lime plaster.

Sunrise yoga, meditative walks, stargazing, sound baths and body treatments. For food, Teranka Garden and Teranka Rooftop: poolside lunches, rooftop dinners at sunset and Sunday brunch in the garden.
