The experience that awaits you
The PADI Discover Scuba Diving programme lets you dive with a tank down to 8 metres, with no prior certification, always supervised by a PADI instructor. This dive centre in Sant Antoni de Portmany has trained more beginners than any other in Spain, a real guarantee of reliability if it is your first time underwater.
The boat reaches the dive site in 20 minutes from the port. After a 15-minute theory refresher on board, you go down for a guided exploration of about 30 minutes: octopuses, curious fish and colourful reefs on Ibiza’s west coast. Those who prefer to stay on the surface can snorkel as much as they like while the group dives.
A list of contraindications to read before booking
A medical questionnaire must be completed before the activity: diving is not recommended if you have ear, sinus or lung problems, active asthma, blood or heart conditions, among other contraindications. You also need to be able to float for about a minute without effort. Allow at least 12 hours between diving and flying.
What to know before booking
Who it is for: travellers keen to try diving with no commitment (from age 10), in good general health and able to float. Less suited if you have a health issue listed in the contraindications, or if you want a real diving certification (this programme does not give one, only a PADI discovery certificate).
