Port des Torrent is a family beach at the end of San Antonio bay, on Ibiza’s south-west coast. This 110-metre stretch of golden sand draws visitors with its shallow turquoise water and peaceful atmosphere. Ideal for families and swimmers looking for a sheltered setting a few minutes from San Antonio, it is a quiet alternative to the island’s busy resorts.
The beach is at the end of San Antonio bay. It has fine sand and very clear, shallow water. Although close to built-up areas, it is very sheltered and calm, which makes it popular with families. It is easy to reach and well equipped, with restaurants, bars and water sports. With no swell, swimming is safe and pleasant. It is considered a comfortable, practical beach.
A sheltered bay with crystal-clear water
Port des Torrent takes its name from its location at the mouth of an old stream. This fine golden-sand beach is 110 metres long and 60 metres wide, nestled in a protected bay that guarantees calm, shallow water. The turquoise and blue sea, combined with the gentle slope of the shore, creates a safe environment for children.
The typically Mediterranean landscape mixes pines, bushes and rock formations on the sides of the cove, providing natural shade. We particularly like how well equipped this beach is: sunbeds and parasols for hire, showers, toilets, cleaning and lifeguards in high season.
Several places serve food. El Viejo Gallo, a Spanish restaurant known for its meat and seafood, is on the access road. Right on the sand, you will find beach bars and restaurants serving Mediterranean cuisine and local specialities. For water-sports fans, paddleboards, kayaks, pedal boats and jet skis can be hired thanks to the calm water of the bay.

Access and parking at Port des Torrent
From San Antonio, drive to Port des Torrent along Avenida de Sant Agustí, which follows the bay. After about 5 kilometres (10 minutes), you will see the sign for Port des Torrent on your right. Free and paid parking is available right next to the beach, but spaces fill up quickly in high season.
Regular buses link San Antonio and Port des Torrent, with departures about every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 12 to 16 minutes. The bus stop is less than 50 metres from the beach. A water taxi also runs from San Antonio with six daily departures, a scenic way to arrive by sea.

Water sports and discoveries around the beach
Port des Torrent’s west-facing position gives a superb view of the Mediterranean sunsets Ibiza is famous for. This orientation turns every evening into a natural show, making the beach particularly popular at the end of the day.
The rocky areas around the cove are ideal for snorkelling. The clear water makes it easy to see the local marine life. For those who want to go beyond swimming, we suggest the coastal walks linking Port des Torrent with the neighbouring beaches. A 12-kilometre path leads to San Antonio, about 2.5 hours on foot or by bike.
Nearby, water parks and water-sports centres offer parasailing, banana boats and other activities. The beach remains a handy starting point for discovering Ibiza’s west coast while enjoying a quiet, family-friendly base.
