Cala Llonga is just 7 kilometres from Santa Eulària des Riu, on the island’s east coast. This 200-metre family bay has fine white sand, shallow crystal-clear water and natural shelter from the wooded hills around it. It is one of the most accessible and best-equipped beaches on the island, perfect for families with children.
A very wide bay with a big expanse of fine sand. It is particularly well suited to families, as the water stays very shallow for a long way, which is reassuring with young children. The beach is surrounded by wooded hills and residential complexes. It is very well equipped with services, restaurants and activities. A comfortable, versatile beach for a long family stay.
A spacious family bay with turquoise water
Cala Llonga stands out for its generous size: 200 metres long and more than 100 metres wide. Fine white sand covers the beach and the seabed stays shallow for a long distance, creating a safe swimming area. The clear water takes on turquoise tones thanks to the shelter of the green, pine-covered hills framing the bay.
There are plenty of facilities: sunbeds, parasols, showers, toilets and wheelchair access via a wooden walkway. Several restaurants and chiringuitos line the beach, including La Casita and Amante Beach Restaurant.
Water sports such as paddleboarding, kayaking and pedal boats are available to hire. The beach also has a children’s playground and lifeguards in summer.

Access and parking at Cala Llonga
By car from Ibiza Town, head towards Santa Eulària des Riu. Before reaching the town, you will see the junction for Jesús. Continue towards Roca Llisa and follow the signs for Cala Llonga. There is a car park near the beach, with spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility.
Bus line L41 links Santa Eulària with Cala Llonga in about 15 minutes. From Ibiza Town, you can take line L15. In summer, a boat service also runs regularly from Santa Eulària, Es Canar and Ibiza Town, a pleasant way to arrive by sea.

Enjoying Cala Llonga and its surroundings
The view from Cala Llonga is remarkable: the bay opens to the east onto the Mediterranean, framed by pine-forested hills that create a natural sun trap. This sheltered setting guarantees calm, pleasant conditions for swimming.
The area around the beach offers several things to do. Hiking paths wind through the wooded hills for those who want to explore Mediterranean nature. In summer, the area comes alive with a hippie market, beach events and even fireworks. Being close to Santa Eulària des Riu means you can quickly get to the town centre for its restaurants, shops and seafront.
I also recommend watching the sunrise from this east-facing beach, a show that sets off the colours of the sky reflected in the calm water of the bay.
