Best restaurants in Ibiza: my selection, town by town

Spaghetti aux palourdes au restaurant Bambino Ibiza

Finding a good restaurant in Ibiza without landing in a tourist trap or paying €80 for a mediocre pizza is not that easy. The island has hundreds of places, most of them in Ibiza Town, San Antonio and Santa Eulària, and the standard varies a lot. This page brings together the places I consider genuinely worth recommending, town by town, with exact address, Google Maps link and practical booking tips.

The list grows with my visits and on-the-ground feedback. Each entry says what you eat there, what customers say and where it is on the map below.

  • This selection grows regularly: each newly vetted place is added under its town.
  • Each entry gives the exact address and a direct Google Maps link, not just a rough neighbourhood.
  • The interactive map at the top of the page shows every place in the selection, town by town.
  • Customer reviews quoted come from the venues’ Google Business listings (translated from the original), not rewritten.
  • Feel free to get in touch with your own tried-and-tested places so I can add to the page

Each marker matches a detailed restaurant entry further down this page.

Ibiza Town

The capital has the island’s highest density of restaurants, between the port, Dalt Vila and the La Marina district. It also has the most tourist traps: here are the places that stand out.

Chic Fusion Food Ibiza

Address: Carrer Emili Pou 9, 07800 Eivissa (La Marina district, a stone’s throw from the port)
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: chicfusionfood.com
Cuisine: Mediterranean and international fusion (ceviche, Moroccan tagines, Lebanese dishes, homemade tapas, wok)

Behind a discreet shopfront in La Marina, this small restaurant run by Kamel and Jenny mixes bohemian decor (old photos, Moroccan lamps, mirrors) with a wide-ranging menu: fresh ceviche, tagines, Lebanese platters and homemade tapas end up on the same table without feeling like a catch-all menu. The room is small, the atmosphere intimate, and the whole team speaks French.

Who it suits: anyone wanting something off the beaten track without straying far from the port, as a couple or with friends, for a dinner unlike the identikit seafront terraces. Less suited if you want tight value for money: the menu is at the upper end for the area.

“I had the octopus, it was incredible, fresh, melting, simply perfect.” Earl Simmons, Google review

“Kamel and Jenny are incredibly welcoming, and the whole place has a warm, friendly atmosphere.” Abdel B, Google review

The restaurant has 4.8/5 from more than 630 Google reviews, a high score for a place this size. Booking is advisable in the evening in high season, as the room is small.

PanKing Bakery Ibiza

Address: Avinguda d’Ignasi Wallis 24, 07800 Eivissa
Google Maps: Directions
Cuisine: bakery and brunch, Italian (focaccia, pastries, toasts)

A small bakery-café in the heart of town, with a terrace under parasols out front, run by a couple who take great pride in their service. You come for the homemade bread, focaccia and brunch rather than a proper sit-down meal: tables are few, and it still feels like a neighbourhood café despite the touristy location.

Who it suits: a simple breakfast or brunch before exploring Dalt Vila, at a reasonable price for the centre. Less suited if you want dinner: it is a daytime place.

“Very good and very friendly! The location is nothing special but more than made up for by the quality of the food and service!” Thibault, Google review

“Absolutely delicious, a café run by a lovely couple, great service and the food was absolutely delicious. We will be back!” Emilie Van der Mensbrugghe, Google review

The café has 4.9/5 from more than 200 Google reviews, one of the best ratings in this selection. No official website yet: Instagram (@pankingbakeryibiza) is its only shop window.

Ibiza Food Studio

Address: Carrer Alt 2, 07800 Eivissa (Dalt Vila)
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: ibzfoodstudio.com
Cuisine: seasonal fine dining, tapas menu and natural wines

Tucked away in a lane of the fortified old town, this small culinary studio (also listed as “Taller Sa Peña”) offers a menu of gourmet tapas with natural wines, in a vaulted room with raw authenticity. The menu changes with what comes in, driven by creative cooking that plays on presentation as much as taste.

Who it suits: a more intimate fine-dining experience than the big restaurants in the south, right in Dalt Vila. Less suited if you want a quick meal or tight value for money: reviews are mixed on that point.

“A restaurant worth the detour: an unusual, warm place with character where you feel at home. The dishes are full of flavour and creativity!” Maria Rodriguez, Google review

“Simply the best! In this studio in a rather unlikely spot, in the rugged, authentic old town, they serve a menu of gourmet tapas with natural wines.” Pascale Pons, Google review

The restaurant has 4.2/5 from nearly 150 Google reviews, pulled down by a few negative comments on value for money. Online booking is available on the official website.

Supūn

Address: Carretera d’Eivissa a Sant Josep 60, 07817 Can Bellotera
Google Maps: Directions
Cuisine: bao, noodles and sake bar, creative Asian cuisine

On the road between Ibiza Town and Sant Josep, this small sake bar focuses on inventive Asian cooking: bao, ramen, carefully prepared sashimi and a sake list that is quite sophisticated for the island. The room is small, the team visible from the kitchen bar, the atmosphere both cosy and trendy.

Who it suits: Asian food lovers looking for real technique rather than a tourist sushi bar. Less suited to large groups: the room is small, so book ahead.

“A gem! A mini sake restaurant-bar, original, inspired dishes, a friendly, motivated team, we love it!” Sarah J, Google review

“A sublime experience, far beyond my expectations. The bao are excellent, the scallop sashimi with white curry is divine and the noodles are simply exceptional.” Sandra Gallardo, Google review

The restaurant has 4.8/5 from nearly 100 Google reviews, one of the best ratings in this selection. No official website: book by phone or on an online booking platform.

Majorelle

Address: Carrer de sa Carrossa 15, 07800 Eivissa (Dalt Vila, near the historic entrance to the old town)
Google Maps: Directions
Social media: instagram.com/majorelle_ibiza
Cuisine: French with Argentinian and Ibizan touches

A more discreet address in a lane of Dalt Vila, with a terrace right below the old town walls: the setting does a lot of the work, especially at sunset. The menu mixes careful French cooking (tartare, carpaccio, sharing plates) with Argentinian and local touches, using quality produce.

Who it suits: dinner with a view of the walls, as a couple or with friends, in one of the most photogenic settings in the old town. Less suited if you want total peace: the lane is busy in the evening, especially in high season.

“I highly recommend Majorelle! A wonderful discovery in Ibiza. The setting is beautiful, full of charm, with a real Ibiza atmosphere. The French cooking is refined, generous and absolutely delicious.” Chaïma Siala, Google review

“I highly recommend it to everyone; a big thank you to Vincent for the welcome and the quality of the food and produce.” Samuel Martin, Google review

The restaurant has 4.4/5 from nearly 300 Google reviews. No official website: book by phone or via Instagram.

Passion Café, Marina

Address: Marina Village, Passeig Joan Carles I 25, Local 1, 07800 Eivissa
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: passioncafe.com/marina
Cuisine: healthy food, bowls, fresh juices, vegetarian and vegan

A well-established local chain with several venues on the island: this one, at the marina, is the most central for a healthy lunch or brunch between visits. Bowls, toasts, fresh juices and a large terrace shaded by pine trees, a stone’s throw from the quays.

Who it suits: a light, fresh lunch break, vegetarian or vegan, without leaving the centre. Less suited if you want quick service in high season: several reviews mention long waits at peak times.

“Everything is so good in this restaurant. Fresh fruit juices, avocado toast, pancakes and more. I recommend it without hesitation!” Nessa, Google review

“A must when you go to Ibiza!! A wonderful lunch, everything is delicious. A meal worth the detour!” Zelcor, Google review

The restaurant has 4.0/5 from nearly 480 Google reviews. You can book, otherwise just drop in.

Mui Mía Café

Address: Carrer de Pere Francès 12, 07800 Eivissa
Google Maps: Directions
Social media: instagram.com/muimiacafe.ibiza
Cuisine: specialty coffee, brunch (eggs Benedict, avocado toast)

A small place that has become the trendy café in the town centre, with pared-back decor (light wood, handmade ceramics, fresh flowers) and a careful brunch menu: eggs Benedict, toasts, specialty coffee and matcha drinks. A short walk from PanKing Bakery, in the same area.

Who it suits: a photogenic brunch in the centre, with generous portions and quick service. Less suited if you want a slow coffee or a quiet spot: it is a busy place that can get noisy at peak times.

“My favourite spot in town, great quality, generous portions, fast service. I love it!!” Axel Cossutta, Google review

“A nice little brunch with lovely decor. Special mention for the savoury waffle with goat’s cheese and bacon. The pluses: the decor, the choice of dishes and the fast service.” Mathieu Borie, Google review

The restaurant has 4.1/5 from nearly 290 Google reviews. No official website: Instagram is its only shop window.

Portinatx

In the far north of the island, Portinatx lives mainly from its big sandy beach and neighbouring coves. The area is more residential than party-focused, but it hides one of the best restaurants in Ibiza, far from the tourist spots in the south.

Rebrots

Address: Carrer de s’Arenal Petit 34, 07810 Portinatx (Sant Joan de Labritja)
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: book at rebrots.myrestoo.net
Cuisine: Mediterranean with Asian influences (tacos, bao, ceviche, paella-style rice, grills)

The restaurant’s kitchen garden is right next to the dining room, and you can taste it on the plate: vegetables and herbs picked a few metres from the tables, and a short menu that changes with what comes in rather than a fixed year-round menu. Everything is local, close to both Portinatx village and Portinatx beach.

Who it suits: anyone staying in the north, or making the trip from Ibiza Town for a lunch or dinner worth the drive. Less suited if you want a beachfront table: the restaurant is in the village, not on the sand.

Sonia, VoyageIF author

I have been three times now, and it has become one of my favourite places in Ibiza. Their tomato starter comes back every time: confit tomatoes, pesto, a little black sesame, simple on paper but just divine. Knowing the kitchen garden is a few metres from the dining room really changes the taste of the vegetables, you notice it from the first bite.

It is also one of the few places in the north where the quality stays consistent from one visit to the next, which is not that common in Ibiza.

Sonia, VoyageIF

The restaurant has 4.8/5 on Google, from more than 1,500 reviews. Two extracts from recent reviews:

“We came as a family last summer and it was the best meal we had in Ibiza. We came back this year and the quality and service were still perfect.” Google review

“Dinner with my girlfriend: we shared four delicious tacos, two tasty bao, a delicate fish ceviche and an incredible paella-style rice.” Google review

Booking is strongly advised, especially in the evening: the dining room and patios fill up fast, even outside peak summer.

Los Enamorados

Address: Ctra. Vénda de Portinatx 103, 07810 Portinatx
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: losenamoradosibiza.com
Cuisine: Mediterranean, breakfast and beach food

A small adults-only seafront hotel-restaurant in Portinatx, known for its unapologetically maximalist style: bright colours, vintage finds, Mexican fabrics, green tiles and bead curtains. It is one of the most recognisable Instagram spots on the island, with a terrace facing a small rocky islet.

Who it suits: lunch or dinner in a setting more photogenic than the food is remarkable, as a couple or among adults. Less suited if you are mainly after a gastronomic experience: the food is simple, the place matters more than the plate.

“A very beautiful, quiet place. A lovely little beach. A very beautiful view. Food that is just OK. Good service. You don’t come here for fine dining.” Yacht1964, Tripadvisor review

The restaurant has 4.1/5 from more than 1,200 Google reviews. Booking advised, especially for dinner on the terrace.

Sant Rafel

A small village between Ibiza Town and San Antonio, known for its historic nightclubs, long since closed. Today it is mainly a stop on the road between the two towns, but the surrounding countryside hides a place worth the detour.

Racó Ibiza

Address: Camí Vell de Sant Mateu, 07816 Sant Rafel de Forca
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: racoibiza.com
Cuisine: pan-Asian fusion, organic breakfast, wood-fired grills (espetos on Thursdays, Argentinian barbecue on Sundays)

A finca surrounded by palm and olive trees, turned into an adults-only restaurant and pool bar. The menu mixes poke bowls, dim sum and wood-fired grills, with real care given to breakfast. The pool and sunbeds also make it a place to spend the day, not just a meal.

Who it suits: a relaxing day away from crowded beaches, as a couple or among adults (no children). Less suited if you want a quick, cheap lunch: according to reviews, the minimum spend and sunbed prices add up fast.

“The atmosphere was perfect and the food was simply excellent: tasty, refined dishes prepared with care and served with a smile. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and high quality.” Coralie Le Cam, Google review

“We spent the day by the pool eating and drinking to our hearts’ content, served by an incredibly kind team and pampered like stars!” Enijac, Google review

The restaurant has 4.5/5 from more than 550 Google reviews. Booking is essential for the pool and sunbeds in high season.

Sant Antoni de Portmany

San Antonio long had a reputation for partying at all costs. The town is slowly reinventing itself, notably on the rocky Cap Negret coast, where a restaurant has set up that turns cooking into a show.

Madunia

Address: Carretera Cap Negret 16, 07820 Sant Antoni de Portmany
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: madunia.es
Cuisine: fire cooking, large sharing plates

Perched on the rocky Cap Negret coast, Madunia is all about open-fire cooking and the setting: a sunset terrace, decor between wood and polished concrete, and a herb garden visible from the dining room. The menu works as large sharing plates, designed for a long evening rather than a quick dinner.

Who it suits: a memorable sunset evening, even if you pay more for the setting than the food. Less suited if you are mainly after culinary performance: several reviews say the dishes fall short of the decor, at high prices.

“A success on every level! A warm welcome and beautiful decor mixing wood, polished concrete and greenery: a soothing setting where you feel so good you want to stay.” Delphine Bronner, Google review

“The setting is beautiful, but the dishes lacked taste and flavour, which is a shame!” Aymen Arien, Google review

The restaurant has 4.2/5 from more than 800 Google reviews, pulled down by value for money judged harshly by some visitors. Booking is essential; allow more than €100 per person.

Teyo, at OKU Ibiza hotel

Address: Carrer Nunó Sanç 7-10, 07820 Cala Gració (OKU Ibiza hotel)
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: okuhotels.com
Cuisine: Japanese fusion, Japanese techniques and local produce

The fine-dining restaurant at OKU Ibiza hotel, on the Cala Gració bay. The concept draws on the Aztec idea of “teyolia”, the inner fire linking emotion and flavour: open kitchen, chef’s table, theatrical presentation and a menu that brings together Japanese techniques and Mediterranean produce. Highlight: the Omakase, the chef’s tasting menu by booking, with rare sakes to match.

Who it suits: a fine-dining dinner in an OKU-designed setting, with livelier music in the evening. Less suited for a quiet, quick meal: it is a luxury hotel restaurant, designed for the full experience.

“A very good Japanese restaurant that had been recommended to us, and we were not disappointed! The dishes are delicious and full of flavour, and the welcome is really wonderful.” Lilou Mejean, Google review

“All the staff are so attentive, and the dishes and flavours are incredible from starters to dessert. The best restaurant we tried in Ibiza.” Awa Obradovic, Google review

The restaurant has 4.5/5 from more than 65 Google reviews. Allow more than €100 per person; booking strongly recommended.

Monkey Ibiza

Address: Carrer de Joan Boscà 2, 07820 Sant Antoni de Portmany
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: monkeyibiza.com
Cuisine: Mediterranean sharing plates

On the coast in Sant Antoni, with a direct view of the town’s famous sunsets. The menu is built around small sharing plates (tartares, mezze, grilled cheeses), designed for an evening that stretches from dinner to an after-party by the pool. It is one of the most popular places in town, with every kind of traveller.

Who it suits: a successful sunset dinner, with food that holds its own against the setting. Less suited if you want peace and quiet: the atmosphere builds in the evening, music and pool included.

“A really nice restaurant! Very good food, everything can be shared, the whole team speaks French. A beautiful spot for the sunset.” Rémy V, Google review

“We were welcomed by Augustin. A perfect welcome. And what a setting: facing the sea, chilled music and balanced cooking. A Mediterranean atmosphere just as we like it.” Ross, Google review

The restaurant has 4.7/5 from nearly 2,000 Google reviews, one of the best ratings in this selection for such a high number of reviews. Booking strongly advised, especially at sunset.

Bambino Ibiza

Address: Carrer de Cervantes 50, 07820 Sant Antoni de Portmany (right next to Monkey Ibiza, on the Sunset Strip)
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: bambinoibiza.com
Cuisine: Italian, fresh pasta

A recent opening on the Sant Antoni Sunset Strip, Bambino combines an Italian restaurant and a pool club: homemade fresh pasta (spaghetti with clams as the signature), a sea-view terrace for the sunset and sunbeds around the pool to make a day of it. It quickly found its audience, especially for lunches followed by a lazy afternoon.

Who it suits: a full day of careful Italian food and lounging by the water, in a group or for a hen party, for example. Less suited for a quick solo dinner: the place is designed for taking your time.

“I have been coming to Ibiza since I was born and honestly this new restaurant is the breath of fresh air the island needs! The team is great, attentive, and the dishes are simply delicious!” Nyda, Google review

“I came to spend the day for my hen party: lunch at the restaurant and an afternoon on the sunbeds by the pool, it was perfect! A great welcome, great advice, very good dishes!” Marion D., Google review

The restaurant has 4.9/5 from more than 600 Google reviews, one of the best ratings in this selection. Booking recommended, especially to use the sunbeds.

Santa Gertrudis

The most “boho” village inland, known for its art galleries and food scene. Just outside it, an old finca is still a benchmark for a quiet dinner away from the sea.

Es Jardins de Fruitera

Address: Camí de Cas Ramons, 07814 Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: esjardinsibiza.com
Cuisine: Mediterranean country cooking, fresh seasonal produce

An old stone-walled Ibizan finca surrounded by citrus orchards, close to Santa Gertrudis village but not in it. Inside is intimate (small vaulted rooms, tables by the windows), while outside can host large tables or events.

Who it suits: a quiet dinner in an authentic setting, far from the beach scene. Less suited if you want the seaside: it is an inland address, and proud of it.

The restaurant has 4.7/5 from more than 1,700 Google reviews, one of the best ratings in this selection. Allow €30 to €70 per person; booking recommended in the evening.

Amalur

Address: Carrer Sant Miquel km 2.3, 07814 Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: amaluribiza.com
Cuisine: upmarket Italian

Set in an Ibizan finca with a distinctive blue facade, on the road between Ibiza Town and Santa Gertrudis since 1981. Careful Italian cooking (vitello tonnato, fresh pasta, a well-stocked wine cellar) is served under the chandeliers of a large vaulted room or, more recently, on a new terrace in the garden.

Who it suits: a romantic dinner or a special occasion, with valet parking and attentive service. Less suited for a casual or rushed meal: the place plays it classic and hushed.

“An excellent welcome and refined cooking! A quality Italian restaurant with an intimate atmosphere.” Fabrice Develay, Google review

“The food is as good as ever. Sea bass in a salt crust, and a lovely discovery of the new garden terrace. Romantic, garden, valet parking, very good service!” Nadia Bathiche, Google review

The restaurant has 4.4/5 from more than 400 Google reviews. Booking recommended, especially in the evening in high season.

Aubergine by Atzaró

Address: Carretera de Sant Miquel km 9, 07815 Sant Miquel de Balansat (between Santa Gertrudis and Sant Miquel)
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: aubergineibiza.com
Cuisine: farm-to-table, organic and local produce

A whitewashed finca tucked into the northern countryside, part of the Atzaró group: romantic gardens, pergolas and dining terraces, with vegetables, fruit and herbs picked every day in the estate’s kitchen garden next door. The menu is unapologetically farm-to-table, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options alongside local meat and fish.

Who it suits: a quiet lunch or dinner in a lush garden, far from the bustle of the south. Less suited if you do not have a car: it is isolated in the countryside between Santa Gertrudis and Sant Miquel.

“A chic, chilled atmosphere in this lush garden lit by a few bulbs. Lovely food. Decent service.” Christine Deydier, Google review

“A very pleasant, pretty setting and a heated terrace among the vines. Welcoming, friendly staff! Fresh produce grown in their kitchen garden next door. Very good desserts.” Lisa Carias, Google review

The restaurant has 4.4/5 from more than 1,380 Google reviews. Allow €30 to €70 per person; booking recommended.

Sant Joan

The north-east of the island is more rural and less busy than the rest of Ibiza. The village of Sant Joan de Labritja keeps a real local life, helped among others by a place that has been on its main square for more than ten years.

The Giri Café

Address: Plaza España 5, 07810 Sant Joan de Labritja
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: giricafe.com
Cuisine: Mediterranean with Asian and Moroccan influences

Behind an unassuming facade on the village square, The Giri Café hides a garden planted with tomatoes, salad leaves, herbs and sunflowers, where the cooks pick some of what ends up on your plate. The garden supplements produce from a neighbouring farm, “The Giri Farm”. It also works as a dining room in its own right, with tables set between the rows and under the trees.

Who it suits: lunch or dinner in a green setting, at almost any time of day thanks to long opening hours. Less suited on a tight budget: several reviews mention modest portions for the price.

“An improvised lunch to shelter from the rain. A great discovery! A really nice setting, delicious food, efficient and friendly service.” Cédric Parcineau, Google review

“Behind a small, unassuming facade lies a warm place and a welcoming garden with little tables and mattresses, and typical Balearic Ibiza music in the background.” Pascaline Deraet, Google review

The restaurant has 4.4/5 from nearly 1,900 Google reviews, more than 300 of which specifically mention the garden. Open for lunch and dinner except Tuesday, with shorter hours on Monday and Tuesday evenings.

South of the island: Es Cavallet and Cala Jondal

The south of Ibiza has the most exclusive coves, with two beach clubs that are benchmarks well beyond their beach: Es Cavallet, a naturist and gay-friendly beach in the Ses Salines natural park, and Cala Jondal, a black-pebble cove a few minutes from the airport.

El Chiringuito, Es Cavallet

Address: Camí des Cavallet s/n, 07817 Sant Josep de sa Talaia (Es Cavallet beach)
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: elchiringuitoibiza.com
Cuisine: Mediterranean with Asian touches (French owner)

Set in the dunes of Es Cavallet, in the Ses Salines natural park, El Chiringuito is an institution in the south of the island, known as much for its food as for its DJ sets at the end of the day. The open dining room looks straight onto the beach and the sea, with Ibiza Town on the horizon on a clear day.

Who it suits: an upmarket beach day with music, on one of Ibiza’s most unusual beaches. Less suited if you want consistent service: several reviews mention an uneven welcome depending on how busy it is, despite generally praised food.

“It is expensive, but it is very good, a great setting, efficient and pleasant service. A beautiful place, and certainly even better in the evening at sunset.” Philippe Vernin, Google review

“Very well located, at the entrance to the beach with a large car park. The setting is attractive and tastefully decorated. A DJ plays background music at a volume that still lets you talk.” Koffi, Google review

The restaurant has 4.1/5 from more than 2,450 Google reviews, pulled down by mixed comments on service at busy times. Allow more than €100 per person; booking strongly advised.

Tropicana, Cala Jondal

Address: Cala Jondal s/n, 07830 Sant Josep de sa Talaia
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: tropicanaibiza.com
Cuisine: Mediterranean (paella, fish, Iberian ham)

Open since 1988, Tropicana is one of the historic addresses of Cala Jondal, a black-pebble cove fifteen minutes from the airport. Full beach-club service (sunbeds, tender shuttle for boats at anchor, children’s area, boutique) comes on top of classic Mediterranean cooking that has stood the test of time.

Who it suits: a full beach day with careful food, in one of the island’s most recognisable coves. Less suited outside summer: it closes from November to April.

“An excellent place, refined cooking with extraordinary flavours! Every dish was beautiful to look at and well balanced. A real culinary crush.” Geoffroy Goicochea, Google review

“We had a wonderful time! Everything was really good! We loved the Iberian ham and the paella. It was delicious and the service is great.” Paola Madonia, Google review

The restaurant has 4.5/5 from more than 2,200 Google reviews. Allow €30 to €90 per person; booking advised for sunbeds in high season.

Cala Molí

On the west coast, between San Antonio and the south of the island, Cala Molí is home to El Silencio, one of the most popular beach clubs for sunsets, with a Japanese-inspired restaurant on site.

Urusai, at El Silencio

Address: Avinguda de Cala Molí 30, 07830 Sant Josep de sa Talaia (inside El Silencio beach club)
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: urusai-ibiza.com
Cuisine: Japanese izakaya with Iberian touches (sandos, wagyu, cocktails)

Inside the El Silencio beach club, Urusai combines Japanese izakaya and Iberian produce: sandos, wagyu tartare and cecina, a sake and cocktail list, all in an atmosphere built around “the art of listening” (vinyl, audiophile sound system). The terrace looks straight onto the sea, with one of the best sunset viewpoints in the area.

Who it suits: a refined sunset dinner, with friends or as a couple, with a real Japanese-Iberian culinary identity. Less suited to a tight budget: it is at the top end for the island.

“A great experience! Lovely service, delicious food and a really nice setting.” Eleonore Jalou, Google review

“The best sunset on the island, and the sandos. I knew the concept from Paris, and it is even better with a sea view!” Marion Szabo, Google review

The restaurant has 4.3/5 from around sixty Google reviews, still young on the Ibiza scene. Allow more than €100 per person; booking advised for sunset.

Cala Llonga

Between Ibiza Town and Santa Eulària, Cala Llonga is best known for its big family beach. Just above, in a neighbouring cove, an upmarket beach club draws a crowd that comes as much for the view as for the food.

Amante Beach Club

Address: Cala Sol d’en Serra, Calle Afueras s/n, 07849 Cala Llonga
Google Maps: Directions
Official website: amanteibiza.com
Cuisine: Mediterranean, cocktails, fish and seafood

Perched above a small, secluded cove on the east coast, a few minutes from Cala Llonga, Amante is all about a lounge setting on the cliff edge: ceviche and grilled fish, cocktails, sunbeds and sometimes film screenings in the evening. The view over the bay and the nearby islet is a big part of its reputation.

Who it suits: an upmarket beach day with careful food, or a memorable sunset dinner. Less suited to a tight budget: it is one of the most expensive places in this selection, and booking ahead is essential.

“A marvel and an absolutely beautiful setting! The service is truly faultless and friendly. Special mention for the lemon tart, absolutely incredible, the best I have ever had.” Julien Dieterich, Google review

“A very nice beach club and restaurant in Ibiza. A beautiful view and location. Note that you need to book in advance on the website.” Food Lover, Google review

The restaurant has 4.4/5 from nearly 1,900 Google reviews. Booking required via the official website, especially for sunbeds.
